supermarktsafari
The basic question of this project was: why we give certain food the identity of animals, like gummibears and try to hide the animalistic background of fish sticks or saussages?
The first part of my work was the research of food items in my local supermarket Tengelmann that were given a new animal identity. In one phase of my research I was looking for information to find the special characteristics of these animals and why we want to eat them and why we don't.
Separated in three parts I present the food which was given identity, then I present the animals that the identity was taken from and as a third step I present a bunch of animals that in my opinion could be created out of chocolate. The posters are separated into a placative side and an informative back. I used the type Normetica from studio NORM to create symbols of the concrete animals.
